Rather than force the entire network onto a new model, developers would preserve the existing state for complex applications while adding more scalable storage types for tokens, NFTs, and most decentralised finance activity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For simpler applications, Buterin estimated the shift could cut fees by more than tenfold, with migration described as optional but financially attractive rather than mandatory.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Complex, state-heavy systems such as Uniswap would remain on the current architecture, avoiding a forced rewrite.
