{"id":10862,"date":"2026-07-17T08:51:31","date_gmt":"2026-07-17T08:51:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptonews.uk.com\/?p=10862"},"modified":"2026-07-17T08:51:31","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T08:51:31","slug":"injective-seeks-sec-approval-to-bring-securities-record-keeping-onchain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptonews.uk.com\/?p=10862","title":{"rendered":"Injective Seeks SEC Approval to Bring Securities Record-Keeping Onchain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div id=\"blockquote-block_1e9aba21c2398bab6bf88ac946ee3591\" class=\"blockquote-container\" style=\"border-color: #5100fc\">\n<div class=\"blockquote-text\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Injective announced at its July 16 Summit that it has filed for SEC registration as a transfer agent, the entities that keep the official record of who owns a security.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company says its chain settles transactions in under a second, and registration would place it inside the regulated US securities system for issuing and managing tokenised assets.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The filing was not visible in the SEC\u2019s EDGAR database at the time of writing, and Injective has not named the legal entity behind the application.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Injective says it has filed for registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission as a transfer agent, announcing at its Injective Summit on July 16 a plan to move shareholder record-keeping and securities ownership tracking onto its blockchain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transfer agents keep the official record of who owns a security and update it as assets are bought, sold or transferred.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They sit at the core of US market infrastructure and operate under SEC recordkeeping and processing rules, which is why registration matters for any blockchain aiming to host regulated securities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe record of who owns a security is the backbone of every market,\u201d Injective wrote in its announcement. \u201cIt decides who gets paid, who can vote, and who can sell.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTokenized securities and RWAs need compliant ownership records on infrastructure that settles in less than a second,\u201d the company stated, adding that it intends to support tokenised securities and real-world assets at scale in the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Related: CoinFund\u2019s David Pakman Says Crypto Still Has a Tokenomics Problem<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-filing-not-yet-publicly-visible\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filing Not Yet Publicly Visible<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Injective did not name the legal entity behind the application or publish the filing itself.
