The Haskell node is the software that validates blocks and keeps the chain in consensus; Plutus is the platform Cardano\u2019s smart contracts are written on; Daedalus is its desktop wallet; and Hydra is the layer-2 system built to raise throughput.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mithril, a stake-based signature protocol that speeds up node syncing, and developer relations also move across.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe last stage of the Voltaire era is full decentralization of node and reference blueprint development,\u201d said Charles Hoskinson, Input Output\u2019s chief executive and Cardano\u2019s founder.
