The case centres on requirements governing crypto-asset white papers and related marketing communications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the FMA, Bitpanda failed to provide a cryptocurrency white paper at least 20 working days before making it public. It also circulated a marketing communication before the required white paper had been published. A separate communication was missing mandatory disclosures and contact information required under the rules. The regulator did not identify the cryptocurrency involved in the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitpanda maintained that the regulator\u2019s findings related exclusively to timing and formal specifications concerning the white paper and accompanying information document. The company said it had prepared a comprehensive white paper in line with MiCA requirements, submitted it to the FMA and maintained communication with the authority throughout the process. It said the identified issues were subsequently corrected and that it agreed to a swift, consensual resolution of the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Related: Ripple Secures Full EU MiCA License, Clearing Path for Crypto Expansion Across Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-austria-closes-the-mica-case\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Austria Closes the MiCA Case\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FMA handled the matter through an expedited procedure under Austria\u2019s Financial Market Authority Act, with the resulting penalty now final. The regulator said the publication of sanctions forms part of the legal framework and is intended to provide transparency to investors and other market participants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The penalty does not mark Bitpanda\u2019s first regulatory approval under MiCA.Germany\u2019s BaFin granted the company a MiCA licence last year, while Austria separately authorised its crypto services in April 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Related: Bitcoin at $1 Million by 2030?
