Working very hard on that,\u201d Trump said, referring to Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Michael Selig.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CFTC has announced no action on Hyperliquid, and the remarks describe work in progress rather than any approval.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Related: OCC Gives Conditional Bank Charter Approval to Trump-Linked World Liberty<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-what-the-cftc-has-scheduled\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What the CFTC Has Scheduled<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CFTC\u2019s own announcements put Selig\u2019s Innovation Advisory Committee at its inaugural meeting at 1 PM EST on Thursday in Washington, with crypto assets, artificial intelligence and prediction markets on the agenda.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The published agenda lists only topics. The committee was created to advise the commission on issues at the intersection of technology, law, policy and finance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAmerica has long been the global hub of financial innovation,\u201d Selig stated when he released the agenda. \u201cI look forward to meeting with the entrepreneurs, thinkers, and builders of the CFTC\u2019s Innovation Advisory Committee to discuss ways emerging technologies and financial products are shaping our markets as we embark upon the new frontier of finance.\u201d The meeting is livestreamed on the agency\u2019s website, and public comments are open until 27 August.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agency issued an advisory on the self-certification of incentive programs for prediction markets on 12 August.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-reaction-beyond-the-token\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reaction Beyond the Token<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyperliquid Strategies, a listed digital-asset treasury built around HYPE that trades as PURR, jumped as much as 31% on Wednesday, Bloomberg reported.
