Next week brings one of the U.S. Mint\u2019s biggest release stretches of the year, with a first-ever enhanced uncirculated finish for Morgan and Peace silver dollars, a Semiquincentennial quarter carrying a subtle “250” design detail, and the lowest-mintage Best of the Mint release yet.<\/p>\n

United States Mint Product Releases for Aug 2527<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The action begins Tuesday, Aug. 25, with 1776 ~ 2026 Enhanced Uncirculated Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars<\/strong>. The releases mark the first use of the enhanced uncirculated finish in the modern Morgan and Peace series. Struck at West Point, each $169 coin contains 0.859 troy ounce of .999 fine silver and carries the dual date and a Liberty Bell “250” privy mark. Mintage and product limits are 250,000 apiece, with an initial household order limit of 10.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Aug. 26, the Mint will release rolls and bags of the 1776 ~ 2026 U.S. Constitution quarter<\/strong>, the fourth of five one-year quarter designs celebrating America\u2019s 250th anniversary. Its Independence Hall reverse carries another anniversary reference, with the building\u2019s clock set to 2:50 in a nod to the nation\u2019s 250th. Philadelphia and Denver 100-coin bags are priced at $63 each, while a two-roll set containing coins from both mints is $56. The products have no mintage or product limits and will launch with a household order limit of two.<\/p>\n

Thursday, Aug. 27, brings the fourth release in the five-part Best of the Mint program: the 1804 Silver Dollar High Relief Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set<\/strong>. Its centerpiece is a one-ounce, 24-karat gold recreation of the famed 1804 dollar paired with a one-ounce .999 fine silver medal. The gold coin also carries a Liberty Bell “250” privy mark commemorating the nation\u2019s Semiquincentennial.<\/p>\n

The set has a mintage limit of 15,000 \u2014 half the 30,000 limit of each of the prior three sets and the lowest in the series so far \u2014 along with an initial household order limit of one. Pricing remains to be announced, but the Mint\u2019s currently effective pricing tier, based on a gold range of $4,350 to $4,399.99 an ounce, would put the set at $5,540.<\/p>\n

Unlike the first three historic coins selected for the program and the final one scheduled for Sept. 24, the 1804 dollar has not previously been recreated on modern U.S. Mint coinage \u2014 a distinction that sets it apart and makes it the most anticipated release in the series for many collectors.<\/p>\n

The three-day run caps a packed August for the Mint, with most of the month\u2019s major releases tied to America\u2019s Semiquincentennial through dual dates, privy marks or one-year anniversary designs.<\/p>\n
