BitMart Chief Executive Officer Sheldon Lee has rejected broader accusations against the exchange as \u201cfabricated rumors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, blockchain investigator ZachXBT has also questioned why BitMart has not simply returned customer funds if it has sufficient liquidity to meet withdrawals, adding to pressure on the exchange to provide greater transparency around its financial position.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cs-article-embed\">\n<p> <span class=\"cs-article-embed__related-reading\">Related Reading<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"cs-article-embed__title\">BitMart\u2019s sudden shutdown triggers withdrawal delays and on-chain panic, echoing the ghosts of 2022<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p> <span class=\"cs-article-embed__arrow\" aria-hidden=\"true\"> <i class=\"fa-light fa-arrow-up-right\"\/> <\/span> <\/div>\n<p>BitMart has not disclosed a comprehensive repayment framework, recovery percentage or timetable for resolving outstanding customer withdrawals.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange has said withdrawal requests may be subject to identity, security, source-of-funds, sanctions and other compliance checks.
