Bridge Building S.A., the issuer\u2019s Luxembourg entity, holds the reserves and redeems EURR at \u20ac1.00 per token under the EU\u2019s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, having secured MiCA and electronic money authorisations covering all 27 EU member states, announced on 2 July.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd is the sole distributor named in the token\u2019s MiCA white paper, which lists the Revolut retail app and Revolut X, the firm\u2019s standalone exchange, as the distribution channels.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The public offer opened on 20 August on Ethereum and Polygon, and the white paper plans support for Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Injective, TON and Sui, with no maximum supply set.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read more: Grayscale Moves Closer to Launching First U.S. Zcash ETF<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-374-tokens-at-genesis\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">374 Tokens At Genesis<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like other MiCA e-money tokens, EURR is minted against euro reserves when customers buy it and burned on redemption, so circulation grows with uptake.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The white paper requires Bridge to hold one euro or equivalent euro-denominated assets for every token issued, and Bridge\u2019s reserve dashboard, last updated Tuesday evening, listed 374 tokens in circulation against \u20ac374 in reserves, all held as cash deposits at credit institutions, according to Finance Magnates. However, to clarify, that\u2019s just the amount minted at genesis.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moving on, the market EURR enters is led by Circle\u2019s EURC, issued under the licence that made Circle the first stablecoin issuer authorised under MiCA.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Circle reported \u20ac403.1 million of EURC in circulation on 20 August, and ten major EU banks plan a joint euro stablecoin for late 2026.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-more-currency-tokens-planned\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Currency Tokens Planned<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEURR connects 80 million Revolut customers directly to on-chain finance\u201d, Revolut head of crypto and new bets Emil Urmanshin stated in the launch announcement, which describes the token as \u201ca euro-denominated, on-chain rail\u201d between euros and crypto, fully integrated into the retail app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Revolut said a broader launch across the European Economic Area is expected later in 2026, \u201csubject to product, operational and regulatory readiness\u201d, and that additional currency-denominated stablecoins are in development through separate regulatory pathways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read more: Treasury Targets Iran\u2019s Crypto Lifelines in New Secondary Sanctions Push<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Europe,Stablecoins,Tokenisation#Revoluts #EURR #Stablecoin #Live #Limited #Pilot #Takes #Aim #Circles #EURC1787817853<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Revolut began rolling out EURR, its first euro-backed stablecoin, to a \u201cselect group of customers\u201d in Denmark, Poland and Portugal on 26 August, with wider EEA availability expected later this year.
