The company confirmed this on Thursday as part of a broader effort to streamline its lineup of crypto investment products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trading on NYSE Arca will continue through 14 October 2026, giving investors a window to sell their holdings on the open market. That same day, the fund will begin converting its Dogecoin holdings into cash, and no new shares will be created after the market opens on 15 October.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once trading ends, the fund will wind down operations entirely. Investors who still hold shares won\u2019t need to do anything \u2013 they\u2019ll automatically receive a cash payout based on the fund\u2019s net asset value as of 21 October, with distributions paid out on 22 October.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitwise says it worked with the NYSE to ensure the closure happens in an orderly fashion, minimising disruption for remaining shareholders as the fund exits the market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read more:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Hunter Biden\u2019s LAPTOP Memecoin Hits $110B Valuation\u2014Then Crashes 98%<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-doge-etf-flows-dwarfed-by-peers\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">DOGE ETF Flows Dwarfed by Peers<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are currently only three true \u201c1933 Act\u201d DOGE ETFs (i.e. holding actual DOGE) in the US: GDOG (Grayscale), which launched in November 2025 on NYSE Arca; BWOW (Bitwise), which launched in November 2025 on NYSE Arca; and TDOG (21Shares), which launched in January 2026 on Nasdaq.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compared with counterparts such as Bitcoin ETFs and other altcoin ETFs, fund flows have been tiny.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Data from SoSoValue shows that DOGE ETFs had a cumulative net inflow of just US$12.09 million (AU$16.68 million), with a total trading volume of approximately US$300 million (AU$418.9 million), compared with Bitcoin\u2019s US$55.6 billion (AU$77.6 billion) in cumulative inflows and a weekly trading volume of around US$14.5 billion (AU$20.2 billion).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dogecoin itself was trading at US$0.08316 (AU$0.11) at the time of writing. That\u2019s a 3.4% decrease over the past day and a 5.2% decrease over the past week.
