An overwhelming majority of 99.4% voted for a proposal to shut down the Layer-1 blockchain and move it to Solana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposal would see ZETA migrate to Solana as a \u201cnative SPL token [\u2026], 1:1 and under the same ticker, with the same total supply and no new tokens\u201d, a blog post on ZetaHub stated. Once holders and assets on connected chains have made the jump, the ZetaChain L1 would be shut down, with Solana becoming ZETA\u2019s new \u201ccanonical home\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worth noting: this particular vote only greenlights the general direction and approach. A follow-up proposal would need to pass separately before any actual shutdown date or migration mechanism is locked in \u2013 so nothing moves yet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reasoning ties back to Anuma, ZetaChain\u2019s private AI app that\u2019s reportedly pulled in over 300,000 users since it launched in February. Anuma runs on a private memory layer that lets a user\u2019s encrypted memory follow them across different models and apps, with privacy baked in by default.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Closed AI providers never get access to that memory or history. It sees Anuma as the missing application layer for bringing those capabilities together.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-moving-forward\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moving Forward<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the flip side, they argue that maintaining an independent L1 isn\u2019t doing them any favours anymore. Because it is built on the Cosmos SDK, the project inherits every upstream security advisory and has to coordinate patches across a scattered validator set, with an 25 August vulnerability patch making that process trickier. The team expects AI tooling to make such vulnerabilities more common going forward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The price of ZETA reacted strongly to the vote, with an 81% weekly gain.
