In a press release dated 30 September, the Cardano Foundation said it is pushing into public digital infrastructure through a partnership with Brazilian energy giant Petrobras.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specifically, the project will target Brazil\u2019s oil and gas market, which is forecast to reach US$28.82 billion (AU$41.47 billion) by 2031. The Zug-based foundation said \u201cthe teams have delivered two blockchain applications focused on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and Diesel R, Petrobras\u2019 brand of renewable fuel\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-what-s-behind-the-project\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Behind the Project?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For SAF, Petrobras, PUC-Rio\u2019s Ledger Labs and the Cardano Foundation are using blockchain to link fuel certificates with digital records of their environmental benefits.
