The firm said the shift points to capital consolidating within crypto rather than exiting the sector.<\/p>\n<p>CryptoQuant said that consolidation is being reflected in where stablecoins are sitting. Binance holds US$47.5 billion (AU$67.2 billion) in USDT and USDC combined, representing 65% of total stablecoin reserves across centralised exchanges tracked by the firm. That balance is up 31% from US$35.9 billion (AU$50.8 billion) held a year ago, even as broader market conditions remain weak.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">$47.5B in stablecoins now sits on one exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Binance holds 65% of all exchange stablecoin liquidity while competitors remain far behind, even as bear market outflows slow.<\/p>\n<p>Capital isn\u2019t leaving crypto, it\u2019s concentrating. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BeSJvBaXP5\">pic.twitter.com\/BeSJvBaXP5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CryptoQuant.com (@cryptoquant_com) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cryptoquant_com\/status\/2023699531523604907?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 17, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Binance\u2019s stablecoin reserves are heavily weighted toward USDT. The exchange holds US$42.3 billion (AU$59.8 billion) in USDT versus US$5.2 billion (AU$7.3 billion) in USDC, with USDT reserves up 36% year-on-year while USDC holdings have been largely flat over the same period.<\/p>\n<p>Other major exchanges hold materially smaller pools of stablecoins. OKX has US$9.5 billion (AU$13.5 billion) in reserves, or 13% of the total tracked by CryptoQuant. Coinbase holds US$5.9 billion (AU$8.3 billion), or 8%, while Bybit holds US$4 billion (AU$5.6 billion), or 6%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Bitcoin Back in the Red as Analysts Warn $60K is \u201cLiquidation Trigger\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-doesn-t-mean-the-market-is-reversing\">Doesn\u2019t Mean The Market Is Reversing<\/h2>\n<p>CryptoQuant marketing head Nick Pitto said in a statement that the flow shift does not amount to a recovery signal, but more like a consolidation phase, particularly on Binance, and added that a bullish turn would require reserves to grow again or for capital to be deployed into risk assets.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the moderation in stablecoin outflows, CryptoQuant said Bitcoin (BTC) may still not have reached a bear-market bottom.
