Stocks also spiked as Trump said he ordered a halt to strikes on Iran with a five-day pause.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased to report that the United States of America, and the country of Iran, have had, over the last two days, very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East,\u201d wrote Trump in a Truth Social post.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On the talks and what they mean, Trump told Fox News:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThey want, very much, to make a deal. We\u2019d like to make a deal, too. We\u2019re going to get together today.
