February saw stronger precious metals demand at The Perth Mint of Australia, with gold sales rebounding sharply and silver climbing to its highest level in nearly two years.<\/p>\n

The Mint\u2019s performance came as precious metals prices moved in opposite directions. LBMA data in U.S. dollars show gold rising 4.8%, or $240.45, to $5,222.30 an ounce in February, while silver fell 12.8%, or $13.22, to $89.98.<\/p>\n

Perth Mint Bullion Sales in February 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Silver coin and bar sales for the month totaled 1,924,964 ounces \u2014 the highest level since April 2023 \u2014 representing gains of 11.8% over January and 299% compared with February 2025.<\/p>\n

Year-to-date silver sales stand at 3,647,603 ounces, up 306.5% from the 897,426 ounces sold during the same period last year.<\/p>\n

\n

“We continued to see strong retail demand for silver products across all key regions, with the 1oz silver kangaroo coin again the standout performer,” stated Neil Vance, The Perth Mint\u2019s General Manager Minted Products.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Gold coin and bar sales reached 67,249 ounces in February \u2014 the strongest monthly result since November \u2014 rising 131.1% from January and 167.9% above February 2025.<\/p>\n

\n

“Gold performed strongly during the month, driven primarily by excellent sales of gold kangaroo coins in Australia, Germany and across Asian markets. The combination of global uncertainty and price volatility is clearly creating opportunities for investors, reinforcing demand for trusted, high-quality bullion products,” Vance added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Through the first two months of the year, gold sales total 96,352 ounces, an increase of 120.7% from the 43,651 ounces recorded in the same period last year.<\/p>\n

Perth Mint Gold and Silver Sales by Month through February 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Below is a monthly summary of Perth Mint bullion sales from January 2022 to February 2026. The figures show monthly ounces of gold and silver shipped as minted products by The Perth Mint to wholesale and retail customers worldwide. It excludes sales of cast bars and other Group activities including sales of allocated\/unallocated precious metal for storage by the Depository.<\/p>\n
