Despite heightened concern, the firm argues that the threat remains manageable in the near term.<\/p>\n<p>Interest in the issue has grown following findings from Google researchers on the capabilities of future quantum systems. Their analysis suggests that, in theory, a Bitcoin private key could be broken in about nine minutes using advanced quantum hardware. However, even with implementation, some inactive Bitcoin holdings would remain exposed to future breakthroughs.<\/p>\n<p>The firm expects large institutional holders, including ETF issuers and corporate investors, to play a constructive role in reaching consensus on upgrades.
