ZEC hovered at $578 at the time of writing, with the $600 mark now acting as the immediate hurdle.<\/p>\n<h2>Why is Zcash price surging?<\/h2>\n<p>As noted, Zcash\u2019s ascent gained momentum amid Bitcoin\u2019s rally. However, ZEC\u2019s surge has also accelerated amid key institutional developments.<\/p>\n<p>Robinhood\u2019s late April listing of ZEC for spot trading unlocked access for millions of retail users, including those in New York for the first time, injecting fresh liquidity into the market.<\/p>\n<p>Bulls also rode Grayscale\u2019s filing to convert its Zcash Trust into a spot ETF, a move that could draw billions in traditional capital.<\/p>\n<p>Zcash has also seen its shielded supply rise steadily, underscoring growing adoption for shielded transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Multicoin Capital, which has amassed a substantial ZEC position, highlights this uptick.
