The United States Mint will release three Liberty Bell-shaped products, including two high-denomination gold coins and a silver medal produced in extremely limited quantities to mark America\u2019s 250th anniversary.<\/p>\n

Sales of the three limited-edition products will open at noon ET on Thursday, July 16, with the following details:<\/p>\n

The three proof releases weigh one ounce, one-half ounce and one-half ounce, respectively. Each has a mintage and product limit of 2,026, matching the anniversary year, with household orders limited to one of each.<\/p>\n

Shaped in the outline of the Liberty Bell, the gold pieces are described by the U.S. Mint as the first non-round coins in recent U.S. history, while the companion piece is its first recent non-round medal.<\/p>\n

The concept was first publicly detailed in late 2024, when the Mint began considering Liberty Bell-shaped gold coins and a silver medal for the nation\u2019s 250th anniversary.<\/p>\n

Their unusual forms resulted from years of planning and innovation, according to the Mint. Each piece was hand-loaded and pressed in the Research and Development Lab at the Philadelphia Mint, with quantities restricted because of the detail and precision required during production.<\/p>\n

Both gold coins are struck in .9999 fine gold. The one-ounce version carries a $250 denomination, while the half-ounce coin has a face value of $125.<\/p>\n

Their obverse depicts the Liberty Bell with its famous crack and LIBERTY across the shoulder. Additional inscriptions include the dual date 1776 ~ 2026 and IN GOD WE TRUST.<\/p>\n

Independence Hall appears on the reverse with fireworks in the background. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is inscribed across the bell\u2019s yoke, with E PLURIBUS UNUM below. The sound bow identifies each coin\u2019s denomination, weight and .9999 FINE GOLD composition.<\/p>\n
