Whitman Brands has introduced a new line of coin albums and folders tied to the nation’s 250th anniversary, offering collectors multiple ways to organize and preserve the redesigned circulating coins issued for the milestone.

The U.S. 250th Anniversary Collection includes 10 products spanning albums and folders across several established Whitman’s lines, with options aimed at both new collectors and more advanced hobbyists.
“We’re incredibly excited at Whitman to celebrate 250 years of our nation’s coinage,” said Michael Pfeiffer, Whitman’s COO. “From the earliest stages of product development, our goal was to create something for every collector — whether you’re just starting out, building a family tradition, or assembling a complete set with both mintmarks.”
Supporting 2026 Coin Redesigns Entering Circulation
The release coincides with the U.S. Mint’s semiquincentennial coin program, authorized under the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020 (Public Law 116-330), which introduces one-year-only designs across multiple denominations.
Among the updated coins are redesigned dimes, quarters, and half dollars, each highlighting themes tied to the nation’s founding and development. The dime features a new “Emerging Liberty” design, while the quarter series explores five themes: the Mayflower Compact, the Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Gettysburg Address. A newly themed half dollar continues the broader narrative with its “Enduring Liberty” design.
Range of Album and Folder Options
Whitman’s collection is built around several product lines designed to accommodate different collecting preferences.
The premium Whitman Prestige™ albums offer larger formats, upgraded materials, and multiple color options, along with slipcases for added protection. At the same time, the Whitman Classic® line continues the familiar “blue album” format long associated with coin collecting.
More accessible options include H.E. Harris® and Official Whitman® folders, which follow the traditional coin board format first introduced in the 1930s. These formats are intended to provide simpler entry points for collectors while maintaining organized layouts for circulating coin sets.
A children’s-themed folder, titled Happy Birthday America!, has also been developed to engage younger collectors, pairing coin storage with educational content tied to U.S. history.
“This collection was designed to capture both the significance of the 250th anniversary and the excitement of collecting in real time,” said Matt Jeffirs, Whitman’s Creative Director. “We wanted each product — whether premium or entry-level — to feel meaningful, accessible, and worthy of the moment.”
Designed for Broad Appeal
Whitman officials said the collection was developed to reflect both the historical significance of the anniversary and the wide range of collecting approaches within the hobby.
The product launch also builds on the company’s recently introduced Prestige line, which continues to expand across multiple coin series, including modern and classic issues.
