Bitmine Immersion Technologies bought another 27,180 ETH over the past week and now holds 5,956,378 tokens, Chairman Tom Lee said on 14 September, and the company projects that its staked Ether could generate about US$334 million (AU$467.6 million) in annualised staking revenue.
About 5.1 million ETH, or 85% of the treasury, is staked and earning a 2.62% seven-day yield, according to the company.
Bitmine values the staked portion at US$12.7 billion (AU$17.78 billion) and estimates the annual figure could climb to US$392 million (AU$548.8 million) once its full holdings are staked through MAVAN, the in-house validator network it calls the Made in America Validator Network.
The ETH sits alongside 212 BTC, US$549 million (AU$768.6 million) in cash and marketable securities and stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco, for total holdings of US$15.8 billion (AU$22.12 billion) as of 13 September.

Nearing 5% of Supply
Bitmine has bought ETH every week since it began its Ethereum treasury strategy on 30 June, 2025, a run Crypto News Australia reported last week at 65 straight weeks.
Its 5,956,378 ETH now amount to about 4.9% of the 122 million tokens in circulation, and the company says it is 98% of the way to what it calls the “Alchemy of 5%”, its target of owning a twentieth of the supply.
The staking income is central to that plan, while Bitmine built out its treasury.
Lee said Ether was the best-performing macro asset in the third quarter, outperforming the S&P 500 by 5,866 basis points through the previous Friday, with Ether, Solana and Bitcoin the top three assets since 30 June.
He pointed to the mid-September CLARITY Act vote, renewed buying by Korean investors and a four-year market cycle he expects to bottom “within the next few weeks” as reasons to expect more institutional demand. Tom DeMark, a capital-markets adviser to the company, said his indicators point to a sharp upward move in Ether in the coming weeks.
Bitmine’s holdings rank it the largest corporate Ether treasury and the second-largest crypto treasury behind Strategy, which it says holds about 845,080 BTC.
The stock is among the most heavily traded in the US, with average daily dollar volume of US$924 million (AU$1.29 billion) placing it 98th of more than 5,700 listed companies, according to Fundstrat. Its staked total of 5,067,309 ETH was unchanged from a week earlier, leaving the 27,180 ETH bought this week not yet earning a yield.
