- President Donald Trump’s Solana-based meme coin, TRUMP, briefly jumped more than 10% on the news of an exclusive token holder event to be held at Mar-a-Lago in April 2026.
- The top 297 $TRUMP token holders can earn invitations to a business conference and luncheon with the President and other unspecified speakers.
- Although $TRUMP spiked to $3.08, the token quickly pulled back and remains about 96% below its all-time high.
Despite his last exclusive event being a dud night out, Donald Trump’s memecoin $TRUMP spiked by over 10% on the news that top token holders would be invited to join the US President at a conference and gala luncheon in April.
The price of the Solana-based TRUMP token immediately shot up after the TrumpMeme X account posted about the opportunity at around 5.30am Australian time on March 13.
Within an hour of the posting, the price of $TRUMP moved from US$2.75 (AU$3.87) to US$3.08 (AU$4.34). It quickly retraced those gains and was trading at around US$2.90 (AU$4.09) just three hours later, according to data from CoinMarketCap. $TRUMP reached an all-time-high of US$75 (AU$105.79) about a year ago.
$TRUMP saw a strong influx of investors, and rallied by over 70%, in April 2025 when the President announced a similar event, inviting the top 220 holders of the coin to a dinner at his private golf club in Washington D.C. Reportedly, the night was lacklustre — the food was cheap and access to the President was minimal.
Trump was also widely criticised for profiteering from his presidency and the risks of corruption and foreign interference. At least 56% of the top token holders at the dinner had used foreign exchanges, according to a Bloomberg investigation.
The top 25 holders of $TRUMP that attended the 2025 event held an average of US$4.8 million (AU$6.77 million) worth of the token to become eligible, but that number was skewed by the large holdings of a user thought to be Justin Sun — who held around US$18 million (AU$25.4 million) worth of TRUMP at the time.

Trump’s Very Special and Exclusive Conference
This latest token holder event will give the top 297 qualifying investors the chance to hear from, and grab lunch with, the President as well as “18 other SUPERSTARS” at the President’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, April 25.
Billed as “the most exclusive crypto & business conference in the world”, the conference will be an all-day event starting at 8.30am. The President will give the keynote address, but at press time, there were not yet any details about the other ‘superstar’ speakers.
The top 29 token holders will also get access to a ‘Special VIP reception & champagne toast with President Trump and other Superstar Guests’. That includes a talk on Mar-a-Lago’s history, which is described on the website as “very, very special”.

To qualify for the event, $TRUMP holders need to register and hold the token between March 12, 2026, and April 10, 2026, to establish their time-weighted average holdings. The 297 accounts with the highest average $TRUMP holdings at the end of the holding period will be selected.
Other qualifying conditions include:
- Not being from a Know Your Customer (KYC) watch list country.
- Passing a background check after selection.
- Not being a foreign government official.
