US Mint FIFA World Cup 2026 Coins Open for Pre-Order June 4

The United States Mint opens pre-orders this Thursday for seven FIFA World Cup 2026™ commemorative coin products, including proof and uncirculated $5 gold coins, silver dollars, clad half dollars, and a three-coin set. Special introductory pricing will be available on most options through July 6.

The coins celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled for June 11 through July 19 across 16 North American cities — 11 in the United States, three in Mexico, and two in Canada.

Proof coins feature polished, mirror-like backgrounds and frosted design elements, while uncirculated coins have a more standard collector finish. The three-coin set includes one proof version of each coin.

As with other U.S. Mint commemorative programs, each coin carries a congressionally authorized surcharge: $35 per gold coin, $10 per silver dollar, and $5 per half dollar.

“Every surcharge dollar will directly support youth soccer initiatives for service members’ children, expanding opportunities that build character, resilience, and community,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.

The program was authorized by Congress under the FIFA World Cup 2026 Commemorative Coin Act (Public Law 118-143). Under the law, surcharge funds are directed to FWC2026 US, Inc. to support U.S.-based soccer programs, with FIFA agreeing that 100% of the funds will benefit military family youth soccer initiatives.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Five-Dollar Gold Coins

Both proof and uncirculated versions feature an obverse depicting the globe as a soccer ball, centered on North America and the three host countries of the 2026 World Cup. Inscriptions include FOOTBALL UNITES THE WORLD, LIBERTY, 2026, and IN GOD WE TRUST.

Gold, silver and clad coins share a common reverse showing three hands lifting the FIFA World Cup Trophy against a stylized stars-and-stripes background. For the $5 gold coins, inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and FIVE DOLLARS.

Mintage for the gold coins is limited to 100,000. Each contains 0.243 troy ounces of 90% gold and is struck at the West Point Mint.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Silver Dollars

A soccer player in action appears on the obverse, with the FIFA Unity logo in the background and inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2026.

Mintage is limited to 500,000 silver dollars. Each contains 0.859 troy ounces of 99.9% fine silver and is struck at the Philadelphia Mint.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Half Dollars

A player performing a bicycle kick appears on the obverse against the stacked “26” from the official FIFA World Cup 2026 emblem. Inscriptions read LIBERTY, 2026, and IN GOD WE TRUST.

Mintage is limited to 750,000 clad half dollars, also struck at the Philadelphia Mint.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Three-Coin Proof Set

This set includes one proof $5 gold coin, one proof silver dollar, and one proof half dollar. The coins are individually encapsulated in a single display case. The Mint indicates that no more than 10,000 sets will be sold.

    Pre-Order Information, Pricing and Limits

Pre-orders open Thursday, June 4, at noon ET, with shipments expected to begin July 15. Sales are scheduled to continue through the end of the calendar year. Orders may be placed through the Mint’s online catalog of commemoratives.

Introductory pricing for single-coin options is in effect until July 6 at 3 p.m. ET. Pricing is as follows:

    • FIFA 2026 Proof Three-Coin Set — $1,581.25
    • FIFA 2026 Proof Gold Coin — $1,338.25
    • FIFA 2026 Uncirculated Gold Coin — $1,328.25
    • FIFA 2026 Proof Silver Dollar — $174.00
    • FIFA 2026 Uncirculated Silver Dollar — $169.00
    • FIFA 2026 Proof Half Dollar — $64.00
    • FIFA 2026 Uncirculated Half Dollar — $61.00

After July 6, the Mint’s regular prices will be $5 higher per coin.

Gold coin prices may change weekly under the Mint’s precious metals pricing matrix, which adjusts prices based on the market price of gold. The current price reflects an LBMA gold range of $4,450.00 to $4,599.99 per ounce.

Initial household order limits of one are in place for the three-coin set, proof gold coin and uncirculated gold coin. No initial household order limits are in place for the silver dollars or half dollars at launch.
