Ragnarok Breaker has officially launched through YGG Play, bringing a new wave-survival roguelite experience to the Nine Chronicles universe. Developed by Planetarium Labs, the game generated more than 3,000 pre-registrations before release, with referral sign-ups representing 58% of total registrations.
The title is powered by Verse8, Planetarium Labs’ AI-native game creation platform, making it the first Nine Chronicles expansion built entirely on the technology. Ragnarok Breaker is also the second official IP expansion connected to the onchain MMORPG.
Players build their characters during gameplay through Wave Shop decisions instead of selecting fixed classes. These choices are organised around five Meta Tags – Shot, Zone, Life, Bomb and Flow – that influence different combat styles, including projectile attacks, area-control strategies and explosive damage combinations.
Customisation extends through a four-tier item structure that culminates in Legendary Crowns inspired by Norse mythology. According to the project materials, these items change the way builds operate rather than functioning solely as statistical upgrades. The game also includes 42 collectible pets, with up to 10 active at any one time.

Two Modes Offer Long-Term Challenges
Ragnarok Breaker launches with two endgame activities. Valhalla Trials serves as an endless PVE gauntlet, while League introduces score-driven PVP competition that rewards players with Ruby Coins.
YGG Play is supporting the title through its Launchpad initiative, providing publishing, community growth and player acquisition services. YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon said the game illustrates how the Nine Chronicles IP can be expanded into new formats while remaining accessible to players.
