X product engineer Mridul Singhai said on Sept. 1 the company is investigating a wave of unsolicited password-reset emails and verification codes, and has “found no evidence of any breaches”. Singhai tied the activity to attackers testing accounts now that X Money is widely available; the payments service reached US Premium and Premium+ subscribers on July 27. Advice circulating among users and through X’s Grok assistant urged enabling two-factor authentication, switching on X’s “Password reset protect” setting and not clicking links in the emails. Password-reset emails and verification codes that users never requested hit X in bulk around Sept. 1.…
Monero uses ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transactions to break that link. Swapping Bitcoin to Monero is a routine operation that takes minutes. Bitcoin is a transparent ledger where every transaction is permanently public. Monero conceals sender, receiver, and amount by default. Moving value between them is a common operation, and this guide covers how it works, what it costs, and where the pitfalls are. Understanding what changes when you swap…
The SEC has proposed updating transfer agent rules that largely date back to the late 1970s and early 1980s. The changes would tighten requirements around registration, recordkeeping, safeguarding assets, reporting and third-party providers. The proposal addresses risks and new practices linked to onchain transfer agents, tokenised securities, distributed ledgers and AI. The move forms part of a broader SEC modernisation push, with public comments due 60 days after publication in the Federal Register. Some of the rules governing who legally owns US investors’ shares haven’t been touched since Jimmy Carter was in office. On Tuesday, the US Securities and Exchange…

MultiversX has given node operators nine days to prepare for an upgrade designed to make its blockchain 10 times faster. The Supernova upgrade is scheduled to activate Sept. 10 during epoch 2233, cutting block times to 600 milliseconds from six seconds and forcing more than 5,000 nodes to migrate onto software capable of processing the new rules. The upgrade goes beyond shorter block intervals. Supernova restructures MultiversX’s consensus pipeline so validators can vote on a block while execution proceeds in parallel, removing transaction execution from the critical path that previously constrained block production. The design is also intended to preserve deterministic finality while…
