The United States Mint’s 2026 Semiquincentennial Silver Proof Set is available again, giving collectors another chance to purchase the 250th anniversary set directly after it remained unavailable for much of the period following its June 11 release.

Priced at $245, the set opened with sales of 261,516, representing 96.4% of the Mint’s upwardly revised mintage limit of 271,250. It became unavailable not long after launch.

Sales have since undergone two sizable downward adjustments. After falling by 15,229 in the prior report, the total dropped another 32,500 to 213,787. That represents 78.8% of the mintage limit and is 47,729 below the opening figure.

The set offers one of only three opportunities to obtain a 1776 ~ 2026 Lincoln cent and one of just two featuring the coin in proof. Yesterday’s release of the 2026 Mint Set provides the only uncirculated cents, with examples from Philadelphia and Denver. The Silver Proof Set is also the only U.S. Mint product containing all seven silver anniversary designs.

Its seven silver pieces include the Emerging Liberty dime, all five anniversary quarters and the Enduring Liberty half dollar. Together, they contain 1.473 troy ounces of silver.

The 10-coin set also includes a Jefferson nickel and Native American dollar. All coins were struck at the San Francisco Mint, and every coin except the Native American dollar carries the dual date 1776 ~ 2026.

A June 21 CoinNews review of secondary-market activity found complete sets selling on eBay for approximately $310 to $349.95, with an average price of about $326. That reflected an average premium of roughly $81, or 33%, over the Mint’s issue price.

Individual coins also drew strong prices at the time. The proof Lincoln cent averaged approximately $128, while the Enduring Liberty silver half dollar averaged about $109. Combined, the two coins approached the original price of the entire set.

The set’s return to Mint sales could pressure those premiums by giving buyers another opportunity to purchase it directly for $245.

Collectors can purchase the 2026 Semiquincentennial Silver Proof Sets directly from the U.S. Mint’s online catalog.
