Elon Musk’s X is suing two men it accuses of running a coordinated network of Bitcoin-focused accounts that manufactured engagement to collect at least £207,384, about AU$389,200, in creator payouts, in a High Court of England and Wales claim.
X Internet Unlimited Company, which operates the platform in the UK, and Nevada-based X Corp brought the case against Vivek Kumar Sen, Zamyang Sherpa and unidentified operators, publishing the complaint on X’s transparency site.
Six accounts enrolled in the Creator Revenue Sharing program between August 2023 and February 2026, the filing states: @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, @saylordocs, @TrendingBitcoin, @Kalshibacktest and @PolyBackTest.
The six allegedly cross-liked and reposted one another’s posts and published near-duplicate content to create what the complaint calls a “false appearance of genuine, human communication and interaction”.
On Aug. 13, three of the accounts replied to the same post within 31 seconds, the filing says, and on Aug. 5 two posted near-identical content 11 seconds apart. Three further handles, @BTC_Vibes, @MrSuperBitcoin and @Laserlump, allegedly boosted the network with repeated likes, replies and reposts.

Stripe Names and Delaware Addresses
Both named defendants live in Preston, Lancashire, according to the complaint, which accuses them of building “a complex web of financial accounts to avoid detection”.
The Stripe account behind @Bitcoin_Teddy was registered to a “Stefan Mann” while the bank account receiving its payments was held in Sen’s name, X alleges, and accounts run from England carried billing addresses in Delaware.
The filing attributes £74,332.44 (AU$139,702) of the payouts to @Vivek4real_ alone, £49,441.91 (AU$92,920) to @saylordocs and £22,938.35 (AU$43,110) to @TrendingBitcoin.
Sen also allegedly offered paid engagement manipulation to third parties and tried to buy high-follower accounts, with the complaint quoting a 18 December, 2025 message: “Can we continue on another channel, please as you haven’t enabled encrypted chat and I don’t want us to get in trouble for something X doesn’t allow.”
X suspended the accounts on 18 August for what it called coordinated revenue-sharing fraud and platform manipulation, then retired Creator Revenue Sharing around 7 September in favour of an Original Content Rewards program. The suit pleads deceit, unlawful means conspiracy, unjust enrichment and breach of contract, and claims investigation costs X expects to reach at least £75,000 (AU$140,959), plus interest.
“We do not tolerate fraudulent behavior on X —and will act forcefully to protect our platform”, X general counsel James Burnham stated in a 20 September post announcing the case. Neither Sen nor Sherpa has filed a defence or responded publicly.
Creator payouts sit inside a platform X is wiring for finance, with in-app stock and crypto trading in the works, a crypto veteran leading design and an X Money payments product that has drawn questions from US Senator Elizabeth Warren.
