50 of 75 Products Unavailable

Availability remains tight across the United States Mint’s 2026 product lineup. Of 75 offerings released so far this year, 50, or 66.7%, are currently unavailable, leaving 25 still on sale.

Much of the limited availability traces to collector demand for Semiquincentennial features: one-year-only 2026 designs, the 1776 ~ 2026 dual date and anniversary privy marks. Circulating-quality rolls and bags have taken the brunt, with 37 of 38 options unavailable.

The overall unavailable rate compares with 39 of 64 products, or 60.9%, when CoinNews reviewed availability one month ago. Earlier, in an April 4 review of the year’s first 23 products, 16, or 69.6%, were unavailable.

Eleven products have joined the lineup since the August review, and seven can no longer be ordered. They include the Freedom 250 Race Medal, all three U.S. Constitution quarter roll and bag options, both President Donald J. Trump $1 coin products, and the 2026-W Uncirculated American Palladium Eagle.

The four newer products still on sale are the high-mintage enhanced uncirculated Morgan and Peace silver dollars, the 1804 Silver Dollar Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set, and the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Silver Medal.

Separately, the 2026 Mint Set and both Minnesota American Innovation dollar 25-coin rolls have since gone off sale.

Seven FIFA World Cup commemorative coin products remain on sale, helping lower the overall unavailable rate. Congress authorized maximum mintages of 100,000 gold coins, 500,000 silver dollars and 750,000 half dollars — well above recent commemorative sales and current demand for the FIFA issues. Three Presidential Silver Medals and the Comic Art Medal Set also remain available. Those four products have no stated mintage limits and no sales cutoff date. The FIFA products, by comparison, have congressionally authorized maximum mintages and their sales must end this year.

Together, those 11 products account for 11 of the 25 products collectors can currently order. Setting them aside leaves 64 other 2026 products, of which 50, or 78.1%, are unavailable.

That rate is higher than in either earlier review. Applying the same measure to the August snapshot leaves 39 of 54 products, or 72.2%, unavailable. In early April, excluding the open-ended Woodrow Wilson Presidential Silver Medal leaves 16 of 22, or 72.7%, unavailable. By this measure, access across the rest of the 2026 lineup has tightened further.

Two additional Philadelphia-struck Enduring Liberty half-dollar products bearing the NEVER FORGET 9/11 privy mark are offered for preorder from September 10 to 25. The 20-coin roll and 100-coin bag are listed in the table below for completeness. They are excluded from the availability statistics because they are offered only during that fixed preorder window rather than as part of the Mint’s regular product lineup.

37 of 38 Roll and Bag Options Are Unavailable

Circulating-quality coin rolls and bags remain the hardest category to obtain directly from the Mint. Of 38 individual options released so far, 37, or 97.4%, are unavailable, up from 30 of 33, or 90.9%, a month ago.

Five roll and bag products have been added since then, and all five are unavailable: Philadelphia and Denver 100-coin bags and a two-roll set containing U.S. Constitution quarters, along with a 25-coin roll and 100-coin bag of President Donald J. Trump dollars.

That leaves just one roll and bag option currently orderable: the 200-coin bag of Enduring Liberty half dollars.

Every American Innovation dollar roll and bag released for Iowa, Wisconsin, California and Minnesota is unavailable. The same is true for all roll and bag products containing the Mayflower Compact, Revolutionary War, Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution quarters, as well as both Emerging Liberty dime products.

Availability Can Still Change

As with the earlier snapshots, “unavailable” should not automatically be read as sold out. Mint products can return when canceled orders or other inventory is released, so their status is not necessarily final.

Recent activity cuts both ways. The 1804 Silver Dollar Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set briefly became unavailable shortly after its Aug. 27 launch before returning to sale, while the Mercury Dime Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set has gone on and off sale several times.

The figures are therefore a snapshot, not a final accounting. The broader pattern is unchanged: two-thirds of all 2026 product options are unavailable, and 97.4% of circulating-quality rolls and bags are as well.
