After Zcash’s huge run of more than 3,000% over the past year, the privacy coin is finally getting a product that can be traded on European stock exchanges. 21shares has announced that its Zcash exchange-traded product (ETP), $ZCASH, is going live on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Paris.
The fund will hold physically backed ZEC, giving investors exposure to ZEC without the need to hold it in a wallet, 21shares said in an announcement on 22 September.
21shares is one of the larger fund issuers and has several other crypto-related ETPs, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana products.
Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and ETPs are investment products that allow investors to gain exposure to an asset without directly holding the underlying asset. Grayscale recently launched a ZEC ETF in the US, trading on NYSE Arca, with Coinbase as custodian and BNY as administrator. Both products come with a 2.5% management fee.
Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH) recently announced a 3-for-1 forward share split, which means shareholders will get two additional shares for every share of ZCSH they hold.

ZEC Rally Shows No Slowdown
ZEC has been rallying this year, gaining 3,222% and going from just US$48.68 (AU$68.50) this time last year to US$1,605.88 (AU$2,259.98) now.
In the past 24 hours, ZEC gained 10.5%, while the wider crypto market saw gains of about 1–2%. The total crypto market cap currently sits at US$2.96 trillion (AU$4.16 trillion). ZEC has a market cap of US$27.1 billion (AU$38.14 billion) and ranks as the ninth-largest cryptocurrency, just behind Tron (TRX), and has moved one spot ahead of Hyperliquid (HYPE).
Zcash is a Bitcoin-derived digital currency that gives holders the choice between fully visible payments and payments that are concealed through advanced cryptographic proofs that mask who sent what to whom. It also mirrors Bitcoin’s scarcity model, with issuance capped at 21 million coins and released on a scheduled, halving-based timeline.
