The United States Mint today released the 2025 American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof Set, honoring achievements from Arkansas, Michigan, Florida, and Texas as part of its ongoing American Innovation program.

Each coin carries a distinct design highlighting an important innovation or contribution from its respective state, reflecting the Mint’s ongoing tribute to American ingenuity and excellence. Designs are further enhanced by the Mint’s distinctive reverse proof finish, a treatment noted for its reflective foregrounds and frosted backgrounds.
This finish contrasts with the standard proof treatment used on the earlier-issued 2025 Innovation dollar proof set, released in August.

Today’s release continue the Mint’s American Innovation® $1 Coin Program. The series launched in 2018 with a single coin highlighting George Washington’s signature as it may have appeared on the first U.S. patent. Since then, four new coins have been issued annually, each honoring an innovation from a different state. When completed, the program will include a total of 56 coins — one for each U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the five U.S. territories, and the initial Washington-themed coin.
Showcased on the 2025 Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof coins are designs depicting the following themes:
- Arkansas – the home of Raye Montague, American engineer credited with creating the first computer-generated U.S. naval ship design
- Michigan – the automobile assembly line
- Florida – the Space Shuttle Program
- Texas – the home of Mission Control at the Johnson Space Center
All four coins are struck at the San Francisco Mint and appear together in one protective lens.
