U.S. Mint Reveals First Comic Art Three-Medal Set

The United States Mint has released product images and specifications for its first Comic Art Three-Medal Set, offering a first look at a collectible that unites Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in a single product.

The set combines designs introduced earlier in 2025 as part of the Mint’s Comic Art Coin and Medal Program, a multi-year initiative created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery that highlights the ideals of DC Super Heroes and the American values they represent.

Three Heroes, One Set

Each medal reprises artwork from the program’s earlier releases, bringing together what is often considered the core trio of DC Super Heroes:

• Superman — shown in flight, symbolizing hope and strength
• Batman — depicted in motion against a Gotham skyline, representing justice and determination
• Wonder Woman — portrayed with shield and Lasso of Truth, reflecting peace and equality

While the medals omit monetary inscriptions, they retain the same core designs used on their corresponding gold coins and silver medals.

Half Dollar-Sized, Medal Format

Each piece matches the specifications of a half dollar in composition (8.33% nickel, balance copper), diameter (1.205 inches / 30.61 mm), and weight (11.340 grams). Unlike the reeded edge of a half dollar, however, the medals feature plain edges typical of medallic issues and are not legal tender.

Pricing, along with any mintage or product limits, has not yet been announced. The Mint has set an initial household order limit of one. The product schedule lists the set as “Coming Soon.”

Program Background

The Comic Art Coin and Medal Program debuted in 2025 with Superman, followed by Batman and Wonder Woman later in the year. Each character was featured across a 1/2-ounce 24K gold coin, a 2.5-ounce .999 fine silver medal, and a 1-ounce .999 fine silver medal, all sharing consistent design elements.

The three-medal set builds on those individual offerings by combining all three into a single presentation, offering collectors a unified option within the series.

Looking ahead, the program will continue this year with Green Lantern, Robin, and Supergirl, followed in 2027 by The Flash, Batgirl, and Aquaman, each appearing across coins and medals in the same established format.
