Queen Elizabeth II 100th Anniversary Coins

Marking what would have been Queen Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday on April 21, The Perth Mint is releasing several commemorative coins across gold and silver formats.

2 oz Gold Proof High-Relief Coin

Struck from 99.99% pure gold, this high-relief coin features a reverse design by Natasha Muhl depicting five effigies of the Queen used on coins issued by The Perth Mint throughout her reign. The portraits appear against a backdrop of golden wattle alongside the Imperial State Crown, Orb, Tudor Rose, and Scepter.

Reverse inscriptions read H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II 100th ANNIVERSARY and 2026.

The obverse features Dan Thorne’s effigy of King Charles III with inscriptions CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 2 oz 9999 Au, and 200 DOLLARS.

    Face Value: $200 | Diameter: 36.60 mm | Thickness: 5.50 mm | Maximum Mintage: 100

    1/4 oz Gold Proof Coin

A smaller and more affordable version of the above design, this coin contains 1/4 oz of .9999 fine gold and is not struck in high relief. Inscriptions reflect its specifications and $25 face value.

    Face Value: $25 | Diameter: 20.60 mm | Thickness: 2.30 mm | Maximum Mintage: 750

    1 oz Silver Proof Coin

Offering a more affordable option, this version replicates the same design in one ounce of .9999 fine silver. The mintage increases significantly compared to the gold issues.

    Face Value: $1 | Diameter: 40.90 mm | Thickness: 3.50 mm | Maximum Mintage: 7,000

1 oz Silver Proof Gilded Coin

Featuring a different reverse by Natasha Muhl, this coin presents a design inspired by the 1954 commemorative florin issued for the Queen’s first visit to Australia. A lion and kangaroo appear side by side, with selected elements gilded in 24-karat gold.

The obverse includes Dan Thorne’s portrait of King Charles III with standard inscriptions.

    Face Value: $1 | Diameter: 40.90 mm | Thickness: 3.50 mm | Maximum Mintage: 3,926

    1 oz Silver Three-Coin Set

This set includes the silver proof coin, the gilded coin, and a colorized version. The colorized coin depicts the Queen wearing her wattle dress from the 1954 tour, with a stylized wattle brooch in the background.

No more than 2,000 sets will be issued.

    Face Value (each): $1 | Diameter: 40.90 mm | Thickness: 3.50 mm | Issue Limit: 2,000

    2026 Australian Kangaroo Gold Coins

Also included are 2026 Australian Kangaroo gold coins, offered in multiple sizes and finishes.

1 oz Gold Proof High-Relief Coin

The reverse, designed by Neil Hollis, shows two kangaroos moving across water with a mountain backdrop. A privy mark of 40 marks the 40th anniversary of the Australian Nugget series, the first official Australian legal tender gold coin series.

King Charles III appears on the obverse.

    Face Value: $100 | Diameter: 27.60 mm | Thickness: 5.00 mm | Maximum Mintage: 200

    1/4 oz Gold Proof Coin

This smaller version carries the same design without high-relief striking.

    Face Value: $25 | Diameter: 20.60 mm | Thickness: 2.30 mm | Maximum Mintage: 500

    1/10 oz Gold Proof Coin

The smallest of the series, featuring the same design with a $15 face value.

    Face Value: $15 | Diameter: 16.60 mm | Thickness: 1.80 mm | Maximum Mintage: 500

Year of the Horse Rotating Charm 1 oz Silver Antiqued Coin

Struck in antiqued silver and designed by Natasha Muhl, this 1 oz coin features four horses surrounding a rotating gold-plated sterling silver charm. The obverse by Jody Clark includes a portrait of King Charles III and identifies the coin as legal tender of Tuvalu.

    Face Value: $1 TUV | Diameter: 40.60 mm | Thickness: 4.00 mm | Maximum Mintage: 2,000

ANZAC DAY $1 Coin in Card

This aluminum-bronze coin commemorates the April 25 landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli in 1915. The reverse by Wade Robinson depicts a slouch hat and red poppies associated with the Australian Army.

The coin is presented in an illustrated card.

Face Value: $1 | Diameter: 30.70 mm | Thickness: 3.40 mm | Maximum Mintage: Unlimited
